报告题目:“Molecular Environmental Soil Chemistry Research: Environmental Fate of Radionuclides and Nutrients”.
报告地点:惠联楼第二学术报告厅
报 告 人:Yuji Arai Ph.D
Associate Professor of soil chemistry Dept. Natural Resource Environ. Sci.
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Urbana IL
Research Goals and Activities: Dr. Arai has been employing a broad range of traditional and cutting-edge molecular scale approaches and tools at various temporal scales to better understand the mechanisms responsible for macroscopic reactions (e.g. adsorption precipitation redox reactions) of nutrients and inorganic contaminants including engineered nanoparticles in soils. This understanding is extremely important in predicting the chemical fate and in assessing the risk in the aquatic and terrestrial environment. He has been active in disseminating research findings in peer reviewed journals and at international meetings. His research has been published in total of 47 peer reviewed international journal articles two book chapters and fourteen reports. To date he has been an author for 32 invited lectures and invited conference presentations and 57 (23 posters and 34 oral) volunteer presentations at international and regional scientific conferences.
